Publicly-accessible songs fall into 2 categories: public domain and under copyright.

    Public Domain

    Songs that are in the public domain (which are typically older than 95 years) are specified as such on the information page of the song.

    Under Copyright

    Publicly-accessible songs under copyright are posted with special permission by the copyright holders. The copyright notices are also available on the information page of the song.

    The following artists have explicitly granted permission for their songs (including sheet music, audio files, and text lyrics and information) to be posted at Mobile Hymns (mobilehymns.org, in Mobile Hymns for Android, and Mobile Hymns for IOS): David Alexander, Sarah Gothard, Dianne Matzko, Lisa Rushing, Aaron Walker, Matthew E. Songs under copyright that are not publicly accessible are visible for attendees of special events in which permission has been granted to use the songs. Permission is listed on each song’s information page and usually takes the form of ASCAP or CCLI number, or purchase of sufficient copies for the each attendee.
